Indeed, this story was my favorite! First of all, because of the theme, I love criminology and stories that talk about trials and all that kind of stuff; secondly, I liked a lot how the author made the plot, and how she made the story confusing, because at the end, the ones we thought were good, resulted to be mean; and thirdly, because in fact, the story made us think and use our brain so we could understand what was going on, because you had to read the story at least twice so you could get into the story and make your own conclusions. I like a lot this kind of stories that let the reader to use his/her imagination to make his own end up and to have more than one theory of what happened in the story.

I think the main theme of this story might be how "man is the wolf of the man", in fact, though it was the year 2026, a place in the future, with all the technology we would like to have, there is inevitable that man destroys himself, and shows also how not even the man's creation can save him from end. The story shows a little irony, because at the end, when all the family, even the dog, is already dead, the house is still "alive" and continues, we could say, with "it's life" without knowing or noticing, his owners and maybe creators, aren't there anymore. I think it shows how ironical life can be... after we are worried all the time because of material and valueness, at the end, we don't take anything with us, and sometimes, the things we created, are the cause of our end, and the only ones that remain.

I really really loved this poem, the way it started was amazing, because while you were reading the first stanza, indeed you were beginning to imagine "the way the sun, every evening, relaxed and easy, floats toward the horizon..." I think that when the author mentioned how "is gone, and how it slides again... out of the blackness, every morning, on the other side of the world, like a red flower..." what she also wanted to say was that we should compare the sun with hope, and the blackness with suffering, and how, just like the sun, "light" (or hope) always returns after suffer, tears and black shadows...
What also surprised me about the poem was the way in which the author after spending 32 lines talking about how wonderful the sun was, in the last 4 lines... suddenly she turns the theme of the poem, and tells you... but after all this magic and beauty... are you still blinded by power and irrelevant things?

~> wнaт iѕ arт?
Art is a representation of something made by human beings that is "beautiful" and provokes and aesthetic experience. Though, for me, it is also something that far from provoking aesthetic experience, it has to send a message that really gets into your mind, that keeps you thinking all day about what you saw, listened or read. I really don't think there should be like a "formal definition" of what art should be, because for some people, I don't know, looking how kids are playing in a park and the set of noises they create with their laughs, steps, weepings, and all that stuff, might be beautiful, and as it is created by humans, can also be considered as "art" even if it doesn't provokes an aesthetic experience.
